i am impressed with the civilness of this thread.
as for muscle, trucks and harleys with their loud exhaust...
harleys are damn loud. trucks typically are not as low a growl as the muscle, but even muscle can be loud if they run em more then a couple hundred feet and start to get some revs in it.policing ourselves is a great idea, but even the best of us run into a situation or are having a bad day where a button got pushed and well you drive a little more aggressive than you should, or you turn the tunes up more than you should or in places that you should not be at hours you should not be...

the fact of the matter is this... despite how exhausts sound, whether it is a mustang or a civic with a fart can... they should be policed the same. I don't care how deep of a growl a v6 mustang has... why should it be any different. And why do we need to hate on people with civics with a fart can? to some people that is all that they can afford. I don't think that we should hate on them because they have an interest in cars, and modifying them. there was a point in my life where all I could afford was a civic, with some light mods... i.e. a cf hood, gsr wheels, a "fart can" with 2 1/4 piping. Do we not realize as a whole that the type of car should not matter. it's the same discrimination as profiling other races, and if domestic people are going to be childish and say they have NO part in it. they're just cheating themselves, and the car crowd as a whole. if you are going to get involved you have a responsibility to fess up to errors, and to do things to help the scene progress.

well thankfully my exhaust is still quiet enough that I shouldn't have an issue. (I'll be damned if I'm putting mufflers back on it)
if nothing else I'll go back to stock style turndowns and they'd never be able to tell who the loud car was if I was in a group of cars.

I'll chime in to say that we are all part of this, however muscle will be less targeted. We all know that. I also agree that having a specific thread, or got to person(chuck?) would be great to have as a record keeper and do stats on it.

also, are they going to start pulling the people over that buy new cars that kinda have loud mufflers? there are some that come that way stock, they going to try and stop that too? or is it just going to be just us "speed racers" that get targeted and no one else? my friend's truck that he has is pretty loud, but it's also a turboed diesel it sounds kinda like a bus cause it's so loud, but are they going to start making engine mods illegal too after this?

hmm... when I don't even own that cavalier, it's not mine, so there fore, I'm not going to drive it, I'm getting my own real car, and not going to say what it is.

pretty funny how people can talk all this shit to me, when none of you know me, except for a few on here, I'm glad everyone gets an enjoyment on talking shit to me, instead of someone else...
and by the way... Devin really shouldn't talk since I've been told by alot of people he doesn't know how to drive his car, or what v-tech even.... and I didn't know it mattered if I even did have a stock car.. so what? nothing wrong with that in the first place
