Topic: February sales figures are out - what the heck happened to GM and Honda?
it's not just american companies that fell hard honda and GM both copy designs of other companies and make things dull and without any style that's why they are falling

            toyota is rocking the industry
diamlerchrysler is doing good ford is keeping pace with the industry and I believe both kia and hyundai are the 2 fastest market gainers of everyone

in total sales GM is still #1 but loosing ground toyota is #2 but gaining, ford and diamler chrysler were somewere before honda, honda was like about #7

Get your facts straight GM isn't even close to being #1 anymore. Honda, Toyota, and Hyundai are on top....GM, Ford, Daimler Chrysler, and Kia are down the line..

Although GM sure doesn't have an A+ management team, many of their products are pretty good. The 4th gen F-body is a pretty good platform. Though I would rather have seen an updated F-body, the new LS2 powered GTO is still impressive as well. The big question is if the management team has managed to lose so much money that they can't afford the R&D to compete with Toyota (who should really reintroduce the Supra). But if there are no more domestic cars, who will you guys have to look down on? 🙂

Sorry, Bow-Tie boosters, Chevy's Corvette sat this one out. Among the world's best-performance values, even the 405-horsepower Z06 lacks the beans to tee up on this turf.

I was trying to find the most current #'s but feb. of 05 was teh most current #'s i found if you can find world wide sales #'s post the link until then I guess well have to go by autoline detroits site on the feb sales #'s which chevy was still #1 but like they said they were loosing ground and toyota is coming close to over taking them honda and hyundai and kia all 3 surprised me i figured honda would have been higher than they were (something like 6th or 7th spot) and kia and hyundai were both way higher than i could have imagined... those were past 12 month sales period from feb 04 to feb 05 not all time sales #'s honda has slipped on new car market share sence the 90's according to reports i've read

I was referring to the C6 vette, which has 505hp.

Just read Motor Trend this morning, 505hp was falsely advertised. "Rumor is it makes up to 550 horses (pg.22)"

Not at all. According to Motor Trend again, Toyota is set to launch a truck in 2007 that would out performs Dodge, GMC, and Ford.

I completely forgot that they finally brought back reall power with a big block back to the 06 z06 and according to chevy corvette's own site it is 505

                                        http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette/?seo=goo_Corvette

its about dam time we might get to see a high horsepower war between ford, chevy, and dodge again theirs been a lower but high horsepower war going on between the WRX and Evo for some time nice to see america get back into it like the late 60's again.... it only took ford 11 years to answer dodges viper but that's better than chevy's 13 years....

and no GM will not go away WHICH IS A GOOD THING competition is what gets us better cars/trucks and helps keep price down but they do need to open their eyes i don't think anyone can make a good argument against that....

bye the way thanks for giving me a reminder chevy has finaly gotten back into a performace vet... last time that has happened was back in the 60's with the last 427 big block (AWESOME) stingray now if they'd only make the z06 like the ford GT or dodge viper for people who know how to shift....
