Well, my favorite teacher ever died today.(Mr. Gigstad)
-
Just heard it on the radio. Died unexpectedly today, we had no school today due to conferences but this seriously sucks.
He taught US Gov't at Moorhead High, im sure a lot of the Moorhead grads on here knew him and how awesome of a guy he was.
Seriously this is all just a shock now......He was big into cars too, had a couple early generation RX-7's, and a WRX wagon that he'd go up to Devils Lake and ice race on the lake.
Damn this is terrible news.......:(:(:(:(

heard about this from one of my buddies here. sounds like he was an awesome teacher and an awesome guy in general. sorry to hear he past.
a bit off topic, is he related to the gigstad that teaches at south?
-
I met him a handful of times over at SLS. He was definitely a great guy.
-
yeah i heard about about it this morning. he was an awesome teacher and a very graet guy. i showed up early to that class just to bullshit with him. he's one teacher MHS alumni will midefinatly miss
-
Though I never had him I'd regularly visit him when I was in Johnson's class...he was a sweet teacher. What a shitty day

-
He was an awsome teacher, with a awsome attitude. RIP Mr. Gigstad!!! You will be missed.
Gigstad in the past, didnt come out this year, was a Auto-xer with his rx-7s. To my last knowlegde he had 3 FC's. When talking to him outside of class he always was trying to learn differant stuff about cars( we had long discussions on my project, the 240, and turbos.......)

I remember goin to his house on halloween a few years ago and looked at his FC's, i think every single one had about 30 diet coke cans on it.
That facebook group is growing, its obvious this guy was on tops of everyones list for favorite teachers. Im glad i was lucky enough to be a student

I'll probably be at the NDSU/Gopher game, but I plan on going to the visitation. What time is everybody else going/anybody else?
-
I want to go to either the Visitation or the Funeral...not sure which yet.
Both will be packed obviously.
