yes it does have traction control..i have tried hitting the button but the light remains on..?

Stupid question..but would the ABS problem be because of a fuse???

Seriously though, could be a wheel bearing or a broken wire for the ABS.

Please stop posting. That is the dumbest thing you have posted all day. The lights turn on if there is an ERROR with something.

They are probably both related. Fix the wire/sensor/wheel bearing.

ah shit my crystal ball is in the shop getting fixed right now
well i guess u'll have to do it the hard way.

get a scan tool on it, find out what wheel is at fault, and what fault it is.
                    then get back to us.

it is a complete guessing game untill u know what fault and what corner it is

its a gm....they all do that in the winter...well they're all supposed to..

the abs dont work unless they need to, like in winter, when its slippery. Thats why its on .

otherwise, the abs sensor is bad, or disconnected, or a loose connection..

abs sensor indeed. check for bad connections like this one.

IF it is the sensor (which unless a wire is broke I'm sure it is). Plan on putting a wheel bearing in there as it is a sealed unit and not serviceable seperately front or rear.

Dont blame pontiac or Gm for that matter. ALL vehicles have their issues. And no matter what you drive, your bound to encounter them.

Tell ya what, leave the car as is. Put the keys in the ignition, put the signed title in the glove box, and back away very slowly. Gimme a holla and I'll come up there and dispose of the problem for you discreetly. I wont even charge you for it. Consider my service a gift from one friend to another.

Pontiacs(more like the grand prix/ams) burn through wheel bearings so fast. But if the abs light is on it is most likely a wire. Still if you are in there throw a hub in even if its a china one.
