Well, they did book the entire dome this year, so there should be more space available for entrants.

This year should be insane...last year the judges only had ~3 minutes per car to go through them and score them. Are there going to be any changes to the way it the show is judged? Not in the actual scoring, but has there been any thoughts on groups of judges scoring just honda/toyota/subaru/etc? I think that this is something that could be done quickly. Then have the head judge of each group go around and pick the best of show, best paint and other "specialty" awards.

Again, I'm not trying to stir the pot...just offering my $.02 based on past experience.

that would be good as well...or at least no one who is showing would be allowed to judge their own class. That would be pretty fair I'd think.

does this mean you have to be in a car club?

do you have to have lighting and what not?

The answer given for this response is correct. It makes no difference if you are in a club or not. I guess the only difference would be that you wouldn't be able to win the 'best crew/club' award. Other than that, your chances of winning are just as good as the guy with 50 'club' members.

There was plenty of spaces available last year. If everyone commits the show in a timely fashion, there should be no reason why you wouldn't get in. It is a first come, first served basis. If you wait until the last day to get your registration in, you might be out of luck, but if you commit to the show weeks in advance and get your registration in at that time, you will be promised a spot....pending you aren't bringing a car that is smashed up and painted 10 colors.

Judging will be changed for this year, and will have to be much more efficient with an addition of 40ish vehicles. There will be more judges, and there will be less involved for each judge.

We have always done what we felt was fair for judging. We never have judged and this year will be no different.

Nope, you must register/show to be able to see it. Of course you can come see it, it wouldn't be a car show if you couldn't!

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

Its from the flyer that Performance Auto is handing out.
None of the Tintmasters events are on it. Apparently Gregg put tintmasters events on a different flyer.

I have already received a call from Brent Mills (Insane G35), and he said he wanted to be a 'non-entry' (but bring the car), and judge. I encouraged him to enter the car, as well as judge. This year, people will NOT judge all the cars, and if they are an entry in the show, they will be given a group of cars that do not directly relate to their vehicle. So Brent will not judge Nissan/Infinity, and if Chuck were to do it, he would not judge Subaru. Pretty simple, and safe!

The whole judging thing seems silly to me. When did it become important to have a better car than other people anyways? What happened to getting a bunch of enthusiasts together and just havin a good time?

It is a car show with awards given out. You have to be judged to get an award so the need for judges. Some people invest a lot of $$ and time in their cars and the awards they compete for are what some consider a return on their investment. Others, (myself included) just like the show n shine aspect of it and dont really care if anything is won. But to the people that actually invest the time and money into touring the show circuit, this is what the awards/judging for such is for. It's a great time either way.
