And, I think you are wrong. The bus fight was absolutely racial -- that was the group delineator. They chose him not because he was him, but because he wasn't one of them.
A different bus with a different composition would have chosen differently. Racial boundaries are one of the ways people cleave into "us and them", but just because there are other ways doesn't mean we say this wasn't a race-based act.
Furthermore, just because there were a few other white kids on the bus that didn't get attacked doesn't disprove the suggestion, nor does the fact that not all black kids were involved, nor does the fact that eventually a black kid showed up to do something about the fighting.
IIRC, there have been reports of black KKK members. Does that make the KKK a non-racist organization?

I can concede that point I guess as it is a lot easier to be one of "us" rather than "them" in that type of situation.
My (original) point is that there is no reason to call someone a nigger though or to be worried just because you are around a bunch of them.
Link, if it was a white kid that had fucked with you in hockey or that was acting all "gangsta-like" in school, would you have called him something racially charged (cracker, honkey, etc...) or would have you just called him a fucking cheater/punk ass? I'm guessing it wouldn't have been racial then.
If you wouldn't have called a white dude that, why go there with a black guy? Or mexican or asian or indian?

When discussing this subject the MAIN difference between people like Thrash and Chuck vs guys like bubba and rexwagon are that the first 2 guys are educated enough and "get it" and those other guys just flat out don't. How are you gonna sit there and act like black people are always doing the wrong thing? I know that there are PLENTY of reports of whites being useless tools of society.... i.e. When that group of redneck pieces of shit chained that black guy to their bumper and drove down the road just cause he was black. OR when the group of hillbillie sisterfuckers handcuffed that guy to a fence and let him die just cause he was gay... Now as for the Hub, Joe and I use to go their every weekend and sometimes twice a week and NEVER had any problems with black people. And just so you know if I were to walk up and see some black guys beating either of you 2 I would gladly join them because IMO the less people like you in this world the better

If it were a white dude, I probably would have just called him a little bitch or something along those lines.
The reason I don't have a problem calling the "ganster" blacks a nigger, is for 1 reason. If they can call themselves niggers, it must not be all the bad eh? So because a white person calls them a nigger, it's a big shit fit. Ya, ya, we can go back to the days of cotton picking and all that racial bullshit, but times have changed. If they hate the word so much, stop calling each other niggers.

Hell, I work out with a black guy every morning, 5am - 6:30am, and boy do we have some great conversations. I have several other black friends.
The blacks I have no problem calling out are the low life bitches who think its cool to "pack a 9" and sell drugs or the ones who just like to cause drama. If they want to cause drama, they better be able to take shit in return.
Oh, and that definition of the word "nigger" is from when? When slavery was a big thing? Times have changed and the definition has evolved. Did you ever hear of blacks calling other blacks niggers back then? Probably not, at least not that often. Nowadays... every "gangster" is like "hey nigga", "you fuckin nigger", etc.

That's great and all. Coming from living in the less than pretty side of San Diego, I can tell you I knew a lot of people who would find that offensive, and wouldn't myself be caught dead using the N word around my old neighborhood. If you believe its an offensive word to black people, you're a fucking idiot. The end.
