It's a non 03/04 Cobra Mustang...DIY means that he'd have to put a forged rotating assembly in, or at the very least forged rods and pistons, otherwise the stock ones will fail ~450HP. Couple that with the fact that last I knew (4+ years since I've really looked) there were really no decent turbo kits for Mustangs. I'd rather have a shop do it than doing it myself as well.

        thanks ^ lol

& the set up I've chose is the GT40R @ 7psi....I'm almost positive at that low of boost I dont need very much, to any at all internal work done. Seller said I'd be rated at around 400-420rwhp after a dyno tune.

...It's not about boost levels. I'm sure that turbo will flow a LOT @7psi on that mod motor...it's a big motor, you don't need high pressure levels to make power.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

i know this...but why waste the $ unless he's planning on wanting to make real power down the road.

Where is he wasting money? What turbo do you suggest he gets that is considerably cheaper? It's going to be wasting money if he buys a smaller turbo(likely priced exactly the same) and then has to sell it and buy a new one + get a new manifold/flange.
