now, lets see them do those numbers for 2/3 the cost and 1/2 the cylinders.

Ok...the price thing may have been off, but the cylinder count wasn't. I want to see them do those numbers w/ half the cylinders. Also, a S-AFC and MBC would put the evo at about the same speed as the fastest of those cars. I'd also like to see how well the muscle cars handle winter driving. Or lets do the HP/liter argument. Or the insurance argument. I'm not taking anything away from the "muscle" cars, but to me its a LOT more impressive to run high HP applications w/ 2.0/2.5 liters than it is to run kinda high HP w/ 5.0+ liters.

Thats a silly arguement. Thats like saying take the turbos off all the imports. Also, insurence, most companies charge more for turbo/supercharger and AWD.

I paid more for insurance on my 88 prelude than I do on my 02 wrx. Its ALL about the classification. Prelude=Sport Compact, WRX=Family Sedan. BTW, what does a new mustang sell for? $34k+? I have less than 30k into my car total and am ready to knock the 'stang on its ass.

Can I add a blower or turbo on mine and see what it can do????what do you drive? will it hold up to 25+psi like mine will?

no need to buy an import if you have a good car, I'm just saying if you want to compare things lets compare costs. That 04 SVT is a bit more expensive than my car is....let me bring mine to the same cost level and lets have a race. The SVT will lose in a $ vs $ race.

I want to see them do those numbers w/ half the cylinders. You might have your wish. The sprint cars use a hemi IL4 for the motors. They make 350 hp from 166 cubic inches NA. Now conside doing some sort of forced induction and nos like import tuners do. I'm sure you could get a good amount of hp out of that.

Thats not fair either. Both have there advantages/disadvantages. You are only capitalizing on the advantages to your car. What if I said, which car would win with a $45,000 total into the car?
Would you change your story?
It's all in how you put it.
Also, Fargo, WHAT do you drive?
