I bet 44mm, and what difference does it make if he runs recirculated or atmospheric? No power gains.

boost creep is still possible, that's why he would need a very large wastegate to run a lower psi, but running +/-30psi wouldn't require a very large one.
i don't know what some of you guys are babbling about with it taking forever to spool, it does have full spool (to low 20s) by 3800-4000

I don't think people should comment on big turbos when they haven't had anything bigger than a 14b;) I ran a 38mm gate on my car and it was fine down to 15 psi, never tried anything lower than that. I am pretty sure my turbo was bigger than this one, or close in size. It was at 35psi most of the time though:) Will be interesting to see this turbo run, that is if Jim ever gets his car going!

Spool up rpm claims are a waste of time. They are never accurate and vary so drastically from setup to setup. If your worried about spool up keep the 14b.

                Spoolup is over rated.

                😄

If there are people with 14b's faster than those with large turbo's then why even upgrade at all?

What he's saying is that, if you care about spooling up quickly, don't buy a big turbo. The stuff that makes you go fast, top end power, is what big turbos are good for.

14b's are quick, but not fast without EVERYTHING else being top notch. A big turbo + the same top notch = always faster...

my comment about 3800-4000 is what the majority of people on other boards with 2L (dsm and wrx) are claiming. also interesting, is that 2.1-2.4 guys aren't spinning it up much faster, i think the lowest i've read is about 22psi by 3500ish.
