no one will take me seriously, but the 5e series engine from toyota has a MASSIVE base of customers looking for aftermarket support.
There isn't any support at all for tercels and paseos beyond 80's style body kits... I'd be willing to donate my car for research purposes if i got a cut rate on the resultant turbo goodies. A mass produced equal length turbo manifold would be a first for the 5e-fe and 5e-fhe guys everywhere. And since it seems like everyone that owns paseos and tercels is pretty short on money 99% of the time, getting everything needed for turbo purposes in one kit is usually the only route people will take. Right now the only shop that's doing ANYTHING for these cars is in Miami, and that's a long ass drive from here...
If you want a taste of the base of people that would be interested in this stuff, you can check out http://board.tercelonline.com and let the people on there know what your plans are. I'm sure you'll spike some interest.

What everyone needs to realize here is i myself can do 1 off kits, i dont have a problem w/ that but who i am working w/ on this is looking for mass productions kits and we will be doing top notch stuff. So that means cheap kits and Ebay parts are not inline here. W will be doing 100% stainless manifolds, and all stainless piping.

aren't those SVT motors?any 4.6L Ford motor (as well as the 5.4L and the 6.8L V10) is 'modular')
SOHC 2V, DOHC 4v, and the new 3v includedWish I had a supercoupe for ya to build on. I know there's getting to be more demand for a turbo setup for those (although probably not enough to get a large manufacturer interested).

Seriously tufte if you were to create an easier and cheaper way for modular 4.6ers to turbo their cars you could make a mint. Right now a kit with everything needed costs around 6-8 grand minimum, while people who have welding and fabbing skills have custom fabbed similar kits for close to 2500. Guarantee you that if you made it a more user friendly option like most of the current supercharger kits out on the market and in the same price range...you'd make a killing.

A nice quality 4 cyl kit can easlily get up in the $4-5k range. Top quality parts aren't cheap especially when you start using SS and alum. Gotta remember i gotta get paid for my time to.
But for right now we're looking for mass production kits. I'll do some research into the 4.6 stuff and think about it.

So what would it cost me to have a turbo kit done for a 2.8 V6 Fiero? If its reasonable I may need one and would know at least a few dozon people that would want one too.
