Its not worth arguing over. Money, time, and priorities determines who has a "fast" car. For some its important, others its not. There are only 2 people I really know who have the "right" combination to get in the 10's with their cars. For everyone else, it doesn't happen. Keep in mind, for those 2 people, their "fast" cars aren't their daily drivers.
Personally, I HAD preferred to have a nicer, slower car (12.3 et), than a higher mileage, older, faster car. My priorities have changed and so will my choice of cars....
Back to the thread... If Nick chooses, he could turn it into a 700 whp car. He has the knowledge, the access to Dave (who has done it) and the access to the tools. The only question is if he wants to spend his $$ on building his business or on this car.

Why not ask Kevin or Nate how easy it is to go 10's. Kevin tried with his DSM and didn'y make it. (YET) and Nate took a couple of seasons to finally get there. Both have the resources and the know-how. other than Nate who sold his gem now, (SHAME ON YOU) Dave is the only other one that I know in the area that's been to 10's. Ask him how easy it was to get there.

I had the power this year to go 10.9999999999s... I didn't get anywhere near it. Shit broke, shit wasn't the way it was supposed to be, but thats racing, and thats why we race. Just keeping pushing yourself.
Money being put aside I can deifnately say even trying isn't for the faint of heart. At any minute something can let loose and there is never enough money to fix it instantly, but what do you do?
I say keep the IS300 what it is.... a NICE quiet cruiser.

The vast majority of people on here have money to run 10's. Just do what I plan to do buy a fox body of ebay for about 10 thousand that already does.
But ya, way to get something unique, you never see one of those sexy lexys around here. At least I can comfort myself hearing they get crappy gas mileage.
