Here are the simplest answers I can make for your questions:-
The rules information was not transferred correctly to the Q8 handout we have been using for 2011. The handout says 28x10s are the limit, so that's what we've been using. That will now be changed BACK to 28x10.5 for the remaining 2 Q8s of 2011. Have your brother bolt em back on and bring it back.

IMHO, FWD/AWD are at a large disadvantage when leaving the line. (Am I really hearing big turbo v8 guys crying about the little imports?

Yes, we will run the remaining Q8s of 2011 with the same rules that your link is showing.
Looking for some clarity on the above
Are wheel tubs allowed?
Will a 12.5 dot tire be allowed et street, Hoosier dot, etc?
Any plans to change the tire rules for next year? -

Drag radials are a bit of a tough call, to start and for the most part radials will not be allowed in the grove. However, a driver who feels his car is set up properly can ask myself and my starter to watch a pass or two and if we feel the same they will be allowed to run in the grove. I have to be honest though and say I have to be pretty confident in the driver/car to allow that.It would be nice if this was posted on Top End Dragways website for future participants.

I also understand were you are coming from, however I do not feel there was that much more that could have been done. Other tracks do not have to scrap all of the rubber off of the track and start new, with the sever neglect that this track saw before me taking ownership of it this was not an option. Most tracks are only in this situation once, right after being built. There were multiple NHRA officials/workers there for the event, all of whom completely agreed with my procedures, how the track was prepped, and all agreed that the track was very green, practically new, and the only way to get traction was to prep as best as possible and start sending cars down.
I glad you are trying your best and I hope that track continues to get better. I hope we can enjoy great racing there for years to come. Good Luck Charlie with the track I am sure it will take countless hrs and dollars to get it where you what it.

First Street Legal Day at Top End DragwaysI understand what you started with and the fact that getting the track heated to temperature takes time. I do believe that more could have been done to get the track in better shape before we started racing.
What other tracks do in similar situations?
