Best way to heat a garage???

what you can do is get a nepco to first heat up the garage initially because they kick balls when it comes to that, but they stink bad...then use a couple electric ones to keep the heat up.

Kerosene will always stink. The more you use it the more you get used to it. Like eating anchovies. You understand that you have too vent it. Having a triple garage means you better go big.

Kerosene is the same price as diesel fuel. I remember bitching at $1.70 a gallon. Hell its $2.80 now? unless someone knows where I can get it cheaper.

anybody heard of using Jet Fuel. I heard it doesn't stink as much and it costs about the same as kerosene?

berg sells a blower that u can get a heatig element for which would heat the room quickly and there wont be any smells, i have their catalog at work ill look at it tommorow aqain to see what its cost, ive been thinking about buying it for a few years now but im kind of a cheap ass

fuel heaters suck my ass and im pretty sure its not good for u

if i knew a farmer or something i would go with the new corn heaters, suppose to be very cheap to run but i dont know where u can by feed corn

not that ive came across but it would be awsome if u could find a small used oil furnace, im pretty sure it would be pretty easy to find large quanities of free used oil

I've decided that this year I'm just going to move my grill into my garage, that way any time I want to work on my car I'll just grill some burgers up first. Other than that, I have a little stanley electric heater that keeps the (1 stall) garage right around 50.

wood stove and wood heaters are awsome but collecting enough wood to get u through the winter is a pain in the ass, and nearly impossible for some people

Corn burner with a proper flue(sp): cheap to buy, cheap to run, smell fine, but you gotta keep corn husks somewhere...

I agree, get a corn stove, they put out tons of heat for little money. Too bad they're kind of expensive for temporary use.

I've got a real small ceiling mounted electric that'll warm the 28x40 shop up to 50-55, maybe 60 depending how cold it is outside and how long I let it run. Cost something like $100 on sale at FreakFarm. However - the garage is insulated like a motherfucker so it hardly ever gets below freezing to begin with.
