Im kinda suprised so many people are hating on it, it clearly is still a mirage and not an evo, but it is an evo swapped mirage, and a very nice one. He did a good job, may have spent more than an Evo on it, but it is unique and nice so who really cares. At least it is better than most mirages that just have "Evo" body kits on them and a big wing.

I wasnt hating on the work, its very nicly done.

I was hating on the people drooling over the "2dr EVO"

If there was an identically equipped mirage and evo...... i'd drive the mirage

I don't understand how this is not a practical swap?? equipped similarly the mirage has to weigh less than an evo

and comparing a civic to a RSX is just plain dumb...... they don't even have the same drivetrain configuration

They are both FF, unless you mean something else by drivetrain configuration...

huh? Both are fwd. So your saying now that you would rather have an RSX, even though its heavier than civic with the same engine...???

Ummm well, if your going to say "does a K swap in a civic make it an rsx?" You should really be saying; "Does a K swap in a civic make it a Civic Si?"

Then the answer would be yes, yes it does.

thats kind of like saying a sti swap in a 2.5rs is retarded because its still a 2.5rs?

But getting an STi swap to work in a 2.5RS can be done by anyone with a shred of mechanical aptitude.

I dunno, for all the money he's put into it, he could've had an Evo. I can understand doing it as a track only car due to weight differences, but why TRY to create an Evo when you could just buy one.

Hell, he could probably have gotten an Evo V imported and 'legalized' with less headaches.

+1 Evo's rock but they're a dime a dozen, I'd perfer a BMW 335xi over an Evo X any day of the week (except autocross day)

more fuel for the fire, I'll bury (ok slightly beat) a stock Evo X from a dig or roll...

In that case, id rather have the Apollo Lunar Lander over a Evo X any day.

How, just because it says Mirage on the title? Whats left on that car that was original Mirage? Windows, maybe a couple of body panels. That's like saying John Force's funny car is a piece of shit because its still just a mustang. Extreme example but when you heavily modify a car it becomes something else.

But then he'd be just another guy with an EVO.

so your saying it a drop a vette engine in a geo metro....it becomes a vette? a car is what it is...a car. you can do everything in the world to a honda civic, but its still a honda civic.

and i never said it was a piece of shit, i said the work looks nice...but its still a mirage.

+1 Evo's rock but they're a dime a dozen, I'd perfer a BMW 335xi over an Evo X any day of the week (except autocross day)

more fuel for the fire, I'll bury (ok slightly beat) a stock Evo X from a dig or roll...

good for you....you're still a retard.

evos werent built for drag racing, they are built for rally and road racing. and i hope you can beat a stock X..or any stock evo for that matter, they are slow. unless you cant do better than a 14 sec 1/4 mile.

                                          EVOLUTION VIII
